We have a respect for nature and are sensitive to the long term effects of waste.
Whenever possible we re-use and recycle.
Eco-conscious weddings can be lush, elegant and truly beautiful. Locally grown fresh flowers, herbs, produce and botanicals can be used to create a stunning event. Containers or other elements can be recycled and reused. We even offer some biodegradable containers.
We support local farms that grow a variety of fresh field flowers. In our area the peak season for our local flowers runs June thru November or before the first frost.
Ways to make your New Jersey or Philadelphia Weddings Eco Chic:
- Have the ceremony and reception at the same location
- In lieu of favors or gifts, give money to a charity
- Have an outdoor ceremony or event
- Use local vendors
- Use beeswax candles
- Plant a tree on every anniversary
- Donate extra food to a food bank
- Give wild flower seeds or saplings as favors
- Add locally grown produce to your menu and your table decor
- Choose bridesmaids dresses that can be worn again
- In addition to locally grown flowers add herbs to the designs
- Rent vases for your centerpieces so they will be reused again
- Use stones or shells as place cards in order to save paper
